Terms of Service
Last updated October 19, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and PIJ Holdings LLC (“we”, “us”) for ShotLocker. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you use it for a business, you confirm you can bind that business.
1. The service
ShotLocker stores your photos, reads their metadata (IPTC/EXIF), makes them searchable, and lets you share galleries and publish a website. You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
2. Your content
You own your photos and metadata. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store, copy, process, create thumbnails and previews, and deliver your content to you and to people you choose to share it with. You are responsible for having the rights to everything you upload and share, including model and property releases and client permissions.
3. Acceptable use
Do not upload or share content that is illegal, infringes someone’s rights, depicts the sexual exploitation of minors, or contains malware. Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the service, resell it, or use it to send spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will tell you when we reasonably can.
4. Plans, billing and renewal
- Plans are priced by storage and billed monthly or annually in advance through Stripe. Annual prices are quoted per month and charged once a year.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel any time from Settings → Manage billing; the plan then ends at the close of the paid period.
- Each plan includes a monthly delivery allowance for downloads and shares. Delivery above it is billed at $0.15 per GB after the month ends.
- Plan changes are prorated. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice before your next renewal. Taxes are added where required.
- If a payment fails we may retry it and, if it stays unpaid, restrict uploads or suspend the account. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
5. Storage limits and your data
Uploads stop when you reach your storage limit. If your subscription ends we keep your content for a reasonable period so you can export it, then we may delete it. Keep your own backups; we do not guarantee that data can never be lost.
6. Copyright
We respond to notices of alleged infringement as described on our copyright page, and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.
7. Availability and warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we disclaim all warranties to the extent the law allows.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access for breach of these terms or for legal reasons. Sections that by nature should survive (content ownership, liability, governing law) do.
10. Changes and law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they apply. Continued use after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, and courts there have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law says otherwise.
